One of the popular and controversial couples from the TLC reality show “90 Day Fiancé,” Ashley Marston and Jay Smith, were recently spotted together in New York City. Reports claim it could be a sign that two are happily back together.
Marston and Smith were recently seen during a stroll in New York City and after grabbing some drinks from a Starbucks store on Thursday. The two smiled for the camera which also marked the first time they are spotted together since the hiccups in their very early married life well-documented in “90 Day Fiancé.”
The “90 Day Fiancé” stars got married in December in Las Vegas. However, a cheating scandal broke very shortly after following Marston’s discovery that Smith was purportedly actively using the dating app Tinder.
As a result, Marston immediately filed for divorce and that seemed like a bad ending to their “90 Day Fiancé” journey. However, the couple once again made headlines earlier this year after it was reported that Marston decided not to push through with the divorce and withdrew the legal documents.
“90 Day Fiancé” covers the stories of United States citizens who have applied or have been granted with the K-1 Visa. It allows a would-be spouse to stay in the country for 90 days. The couple has to decide if they will get married during this period in which case the visiting fiancé/e-turned-spouse will have the chance to obtain a Green Card. The season where Marston and Smith were featured is currently the show’s latest installment and officially concluded in January.
TLC has yet to announce if “90 Day Fiancé” is renewed for a seventh season. But the network confirmed that show gained massive popularity in 2018 calling it its “banner year.” It also appears that the series spin-offs “90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?” and “90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days” are doing quite well. This means that the main series’ renewal for a seventh season is likely.
Smith is from Jamaica where he also met Marston after the latter attended a friend’s wedding. As they have narrated on “90 Day Fiancé,” they later became close after Smith looked up Marston on social media and their relationship blossomed from there. Marston went back to Jamaica to visit Smith after six months where the latter also proposed.
