Adidas introduced the Agravic Speed Ultra and Agravic Speed trail running shoes, designed to elevate speed and performance for trail runners. Following the success of athletes testing the prototype last summer, adidas announced the availability of the Agravic Speed Ultra for ambitious trail runners.
Packed with advanced technology from adidas' Adizero Adios franchise, the Agravic Speed Ultra optimizes every aspect to enhance trail runners' speed capabilities.
Innovative Design for Maximum Performance
Informed by scientific research in collaboration with the University of Salzburg, the Agravic Speed Ultra combines the LIGHTSTRIKE PRO foam for energy absorption, Energy Rods for enhanced propulsion, and dynamic rocker geometry for efficient forefoot running. Joining the Agravic family is the Agravic Speed, a lightweight shoe designed for speed in medium trail races up to 50 km.
Exclusive Mentorship Program with Team TERREX
A press release noted that adidas TERREX offers a unique mentorship program to celebrate the Agravic launch with Team TERREX, providing coaching sessions led by renowned trail runners and coaches. Six trail runners who excel in the adidas TERREX Strava challenge will win a mentorship experience culminating in a race at adidas TERREX Infinite Trails in Bad Hofgastein, Austria.
Enhanced Sustainability Efforts
Sports Shoes noted that in line with adidas' commitment to sustainability, both the Agravic Speed Ultra and Agravic Speed incorporate eco-friendly materials and production methods. The development of these trail running shoes emphasizes the reduction of plastic waste by utilizing recycled polyester and rubber.
This initiative is part of adidas' broader strategy to decrease its environmental footprint and encourage the outdoor community to engage with nature responsibly. Through these efforts, adidas reinforces its dedication to innovation, performance, and sustainability, ensuring that athletes can pursue their passion for trail running with a minimal environmental impact.
Availability and Launch Details
The Agravic Speed Ultra and Agravic Speed will be available starting April 1st, 2024, on the adidas website, app, and select retail stores.
