Adidas has emerged as the most eagerly anticipated new entry at the Metaverse Fashion Week 2.0 on March 28-31 in Decentraland, where it will debut a community-focused experience bringing together owners of its Virtual Gear digital fashion collection and Decentraland users.
According to Erika Wykes-Sneyd, VP of the adidas /// studio, they’ve worked with Decentraland so the wearables will move into their ecosystem and holders will be able to wear their items..
Owners of Virtual Gear NFTs will get a special 3D replica of their Virtual Gear item to wear inside the virtual world on their Decentraland avatar.
Currently, Adidas’ Virtual Gear is limited to use on PFPs such as Bored Ape Yacht Club so this makes Decentraland the first place where it becomes a virtual reality.
