“American Crime Story” season 3 is not featuring the Katrina story anymore. This was initially confirmed but the concept about the hurricane Katrina that struck Florida and Louisiana in 2005 was later scrapped.
As per Deadline, FX Networks CEO, John Landgraf, revealed that they actually have plenty of ideas with regards to what they will feature next in “American Crime Story” season 3 however, they have not come up with a concrete decision yet until now. Then again, the executive stated that they may still put their ideas into production but they are still considering everything to see which one will go out first.
“We have three or four ideas in active development but I couldn’t tell you which one is likely to be ready first,” he told the media during the Television Critics Association winter press tour on Monday, Feb. 4.
At any rate, prior to the when Katrina was approved for “American Crime Story” season 3, the Monica Lewinsky story has been reported to follow after the Versace tale that was shown in season 2, but this was taken out as well. Landgraf further said during the press tour that he discussed the plan with Lewinsky and told her that she should serve as the producer of her own story.
"I told her, 'Nobody should tell your story but you, and it's kind of gross if they do. If you want to produce it with me, I would love that; but you should be the producer and you should make all the goddamn money,’” he said.
Meanwhile, People reported that Darren Criss who was the lead in the “American Crime Story” season 3 just married his long-time girlfriend on Saturday, Feb. 16. The 32-year-old actor exchanged “I Do” with Mia Swier in New Orleans and this was witnessed by the couple’s close friends and family.
Finally, as for “American Crime Story” season 3’s release date, it is uncertain since the production team has not even settled on what concept they will feature next.
