The excitement for “Avengers 4” is so high that even if Marvel has yet to release the actual title and promotional materials for the upcoming movie, fans are taking every single morsel of potential news about it seriously. This fan obsession may be the reason why some jokes by the “Avengers 4” cast and crew are flying over some fans' heads.
Recently, Mark Ruffalo – who plays the Hulk – went on “The Tonight Show” with Jimmy Fallon and tried to spoil sensitive details about “Avengers” 4. Of course, fans who saw the interview would know that Ruffalo and Fallon were simply playing with the joke that Mark Ruffalo has a tendency to spoil information about Marvel's highly anticipated movies.
Mark, you’re fired.

To add to the humor, Joe and Anthony Russo – the directors of the upcoming “Avengers 4” film – jokingly fired Ruffalo through Twitter. The fact that the conversation has been going on for at least two weeks should make it pretty obvious that Mark Ruffalo's “firing” is a joke.
You’re still fired, Mark.

Comicbook compiled a list of fan responses that took Mark Ruffalo's supposed firing a little too seriously. Some fans have given their sincere support for Mark Ruffalo while others resorted to calling out the “Avengers 4” directors for the supposed mistake.
Everyone is worried about this title and I'm over here freaking tf out cuz the hulk was fired ! Priorities ppl !!! Who gives a shit about a title when we are losing the best hulk marvel had ever had !!! Please tell me this is a joke !!

Kinda petty get rid of @MarkRuffalo for a spoiler. Who gives a shit about the tittle of a movie anyway. We’re just here to see the goddamn story and good acting. #GetYourHeadOuttaYourAssRussoBrothers

Some fans seem like the kind that should definitely be told that the whole Mark Ruffalo “getting fired by the Russo brothers” thing is a joke before some serious public relations damage happens prior to the “Avengers 4” release. While neither the Russo brothers nor Mark Ruffalo has explicitly stated that the whole bit is a joke, hopefully, the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe fandom can calm their fellow fans down.
Fans looking forward to seeing the aftermath of “Infinity War” for themselves can catch “Avengers 4” when it hits theaters on May 3. Hopefully, Marvel has more promotional details about the upcoming movie before the year ends that do not end in fan confusion.
