Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner finalized their divorce last year shortly after the latter was reportedly dating a new man. And there are recent claims that the “Justice League” actor is devastated over Garner’s new relationship.
A source of Star (via Gossip Cop) claimed Affleck had not been handling Garner’s new relationship well. “It seems like his mood is worsening by the day. Ben is struggling to be upbeat. There’s no doubt he’s fallen into a deep funk over the state of his personal life, and his friends are very worried about him,” said the insider.
The same tipster added that Affleck has been “a mess” and “shutting himself off” from his friend. However, the latest photo of Affleck and Garner together was published earlier this week after attending a church service together. The actor’s appearance at the Sunday family affair is far from what Star’s source described.
Entertainment Tonight also reported that the exes “were deep in conversation” after leaving the church last Sunday. This means Affleck is most likely doing well and is still maintaining a great relationship with Garner even after finalizing their divorce in late 2018.
The same Gossip Cop report also debunked Star’s story after reaching out to someone close to Affleck. The fact-checking news outlet’s source said the actor is not going through an emotional breakdown and not on a brink of spiraling out of control because of Garner’s dating life.
Garner and Affleck confirmed their separation in 2015. Since then until their divorce was made official last year, the actor was involved in various women. For one, he dated “Saturday Night Live” producer Lindsay Shookus for a year until he was spotted going out multiple times with Playboy model Shauna Sexton. Affleck is reportedly not thinking about dating anytime soon.
Meanwhile, Garner has been seeing Cali Group CEO John Miller as first reported last October. Shortly after the news broke, a source of E! said, “Ben is happy when Jen is happy. They have a really strong relationship. They will continue to co-parent and support each other."
