Ben Affleck has been recently admitted to the Canyon Treatment Center at Peace Park in Malibu after finding solace at the bottom of a bottle once more. Upon learning that the “Batman” actor has been drinking again, his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, personally drove to his house and took him to the rehabilitation facility.
The “Alias” alum has always been supportive of Ben Affleck even though the actor himself seems to continuously seek refuge in alcohol. But now that “The Town” star is getting the help he needs, Jennifer Garner decided to let the actor’s mom, Christine, stay with her for a while.
The last time that Christine and Jennifer Garner were seen together was this past Sunday, when the pair attended church along with the actress’s kids, The Daily Mail reported. The visit was quite welcome to the Garner household since the “13 Going on 30” star has been busy promoting her new film, “Peppermint,” which was recently released. Ben Affleck’s ex-partner even went to the theater to see the movie herself, a first for the actress, as she revealed in an Instagram post.
The video shows Jennifer Garner clearly shaken at what she’s about to do and even hides behind a curtain at one point. The “Elektra” explained through the post’s caption that the studio encouraged her to see the movie with her fans. Thankfully, Ben Affleck’s ex-partner went relatively unnoticed, except one guy, who shook her hands and told her how “amazing” the film is.
“Peppermint” is a movie about a mother seeking justice when her family is gunned down in a drive-by shooting. Jennifer Garner said she trained a lot in preparation for the film, even undergoing classes in knives, MMA, and firearms. The actress has always been familiar with the action genre and even starred in “Daredevil” with Ben Affleck, where the couple’s romance was initially sparked.
Now, Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck are separated but are co-parenting their kids. Their divorce proceedings have also been delayed as necessary paperwork hasn’t been submitted by the actress.
Jennifer Garner said that the reason why she didn’t submit the documents was that she wanted to ensure Ben Affleck can successfully co-parent their kids once the separation is official. Weeks later, the “Good Will Hunting” actor suffered his third alcohol relapse and is now trying to regain his footing.
