Ben Affleck and Lindsay Shookus could reportedly be getting married soon as the former allegedly already proposed. Since a wedding could be taking place soon, the “Justice League” actor reportedly wants to finalize his divorce with Jennifer Garner as soon as possible, the rumors say.
The 45-year-old star was even reported to be begging his ex-wife to speed up their formal separation so he can move on with Lindsay Shookus and start their family.
Ben Affleck even bought a new home in L.A. along the Pacific Palisades neighborhood, and the SNL producer has been spending more time with her boyfriend as he moves to the $19.2 million home.
E! News reported that Ben Affleck and Lindsay Shookus’ relationship is stronger as ever. Shookus is also on a hiatus from her work so she was able to spend more time with her beau in Los Angeles.
Speaking to the said publication, a source reportedly said, "They are also taking some trips and spending time with her family in New York. She is loving being with Ben and enjoying his new house.”
But, Gossip Cop shot down these reports and claimed that Ben Affleck has not proposed yet and, in fact, is not ready to do so. It said that while the pair’s relationship is getting stronger, they are not getting married soon.
GC shared it was Woman’s Day that reported the false story that Ben and Lindsay Shookus were “taking their romance to the next level.” The Australian women’s magazine also stated that the only thing that is holding up the wedding is the fact that Ben is still married to Jennifer Garner.
Gossip Cop pointed out that although the report failed to mention that Shookus is also in the same situation as she is still married to Kevin Miller, the truth is that even if the pair does not have this type of issue; they simply are not yet ready to settle down.
The celebrity fact-checking publication added that Woman’s Day’s so-called sources and insider who told them about Ben Affleck’s supposed proposal to Lindsay Shookus are just made-up characters since they cannot be named and are untraceable.
Finally, Gossip Cop also reached out to Ben Affleck’s representatives to confirm whether a wedding is coming up and they got the answer of “not true.” Ben Affleck and Lindsay Shookus went public with their relationship only last year.
