Miranda Lambert has released another song with Pistol Annies, and everyone who knows her story, including the public, will think that its lyrics are directed at Blake Shelton. Judging by the words of the song, it appears that she still feels bitter about her divorce as she continues to throw shade at her ex and his romance with Gwen Stefani.
On Nov. 2, she and her Pistol Annies bandmates dropped “When I Was His Wife” and this was just a few days after they released “Got My Name Changed Back.” With these songs that obviously allude to her divorce with Blake Shelton, it was reported that Gwen Stefani’s ex is not affected.
Hollywood Life reported that Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani find Miranda Lambert’s move of releasing such songs laughable. They think that the “The House that Built Me” singer was just trying to stay relevant by using them as the topic for her lyrics.
A source told HL how the couple supposedly feels about “Got My Name Changed Back” and “When I Was His Wife,” saying Blake and Gwen are not interested. They reportedly have no desire to reply with their own diss track.
“Gwen and Blake couldn’t care less about Miranda’s new song. They actually find it comical,” the source said. “Gwen is very classy, and you will never see her respond to something like this.”
Moreover, with Miranda Lambert’s revelations, confessed through her songs, Blake Shelton reportedly thinks that his former wife has not moved on from their divorce yet. When Miranda told Taste of Country in August that she is happily single after a series of breakups, Blake reportedly did not believe it and it proved to be true when she launched her new songs last week.
“He knows Miranda hasn’t moved on, but he’s so happy with Gwen and where they’re at in their relationship and lives,” the insider further said.
It was also alleged that Blake finds it ridiculous when his ex-wife still sings songs about him. What’s more, he is already in a new relationship and their divorce was already finalized, so he reportedly sees no reason for her to still send him messages in any way. Blake Shelton has clearly moved on with Gwen Stefani while Miranda Lambert seems to still be stuck in her past, judging by her songs.
