News regarding “Blue Bloods” Season 10 is scarce at the moment as CBS has yet to break their silence about the renewal of the police procedural. But even though this is the case, there’s a high possibility that a tenth installment is happening given that the series is one of the most popular shows of the network.
Ranker reported that the show is CBS’ fourth best entry in its lineup, bested only by “Criminal Minds,” “Salvation,” and “NCIS.” One of the aspects that makes the series great is its authenticity in portraying New York police officers. Indeed, NYC cops themselves are among those who closely watch the story of the Reagan family and hopes that CBS will greenlight “Blue Bloods” Season 10.
Vanessa Ray, who’s playing Eddie Janko in the series, previously said that she often gets recognized by New York cops whenever she’s out walking in the streets of the Big Apple. The show has often been praised by NYC cops with regards to its accurate portrayals about the life and actions of police officers. The series achieves this by employing former NYC officer James Nuciforo who served for 25 years with the force. If CBS orders “Blue Bloods” Season 10, there’s no doubt that Nuciforo will be there again to proof the script and ensure that jargons are correctly being used.
Tedious as this might be, there’s no denying the impact of Nuciforo’s expertise that lends an authentic air to the police procedural. As for the contracts of the main cast, CBS has yet to discuss the matter either. While this is but a speculation at this point, it appears that this aspect is one of the main reasons why the network isn’t forthcoming about “Blue Bloods” Season 10.
Regarding the possible release date of the tenth installment, it’s likely that it will be drop sometime in September. All nine installments of the series have been aired on this month and it’s highly likely that “Blue Bloods” Season 10 will be given the same treatment.
