Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's divorce and custody proceedings are not the most relaxed separation happening in Hollywood right now. The former couple already hit a speed bump sometime in June when Jolie was informed that she could lose primary custody over their children if Brad Pitt was not given enough significant parenting time. But it seems that things between the couple can apparently become worse.
According to a report by TMZ, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have moved on from having their legal teams negotiate a settlement between the two parties. Both Jolie's and Pitt's legal teams have apparently submitted documents requesting the Los Angeles Superior court to allow them to finalize their divorce and custody cases by trial by June 2019.
According to TMZ, Angelina Jolie is gunning for full custody of her and Brad Pitt's six children. Pitt, on the other hand, is allegedly working towards a joint custody ruling. In addition to the former couple's disagreement over custody, it seems that their divorce proceedings will run into a speedbump regarding property settlement.
Apparently, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt never signed a prenuptial agreement, which could lead to another case with a potential for a legal knife fight should the couple not come to terms over how to split their property. The way it stands now, fans can only hope that neither Angelina Jolie nor Brad Pitt turns their current legal proceedings into a traumatic event for them and their family.
Fans of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt can hopefully get news about how the former couple's custody trail goes within the next two to three weeks – the timeline that the custody trial is supposed to take place. Hopefully, the introduction of a private judge into the former couple's current legal troubles can help them sort out an agreement where everyone wins.
