NEW YORK, Dec. 22, 2017 -- Brighton Health Plan Solutions (BHPS), a leading health care enablement company with brands including MagnaCare, Create and Casualty Solutions, today announced a matching donation program to benefit United Way of Long Island. The program, BrightonGives, will match employee donations of up to $10,000 to the United Way dollar-for-dollar. Employees may opt in to contribute via automatic payroll contributions for their convenience. Additionally, BHPS is providing each employee with a day off of their choosing to volunteer on-site to support the community at United Way partner organizations such as the Hagedorn Little Village School for children with autism and Habitat for Humanity.
“We’re a local company and we want every employee to have an opportunity to give their support to the communities we serve,” said Simeon Schindelman, Chief Executive Officer of BHPS. “With BrightonGives, we’re making giving back part of our culture, and at the same time, driving our charitable efforts through an experienced and trusted partner while still providing our team members choices on how to get involved.”
“Brighton Health Plan Solutions has been an important corporate supporter for many years,” said Theresa A. Regnante, President and CEO of United Way of Long Island. “United Way of Long Island and our partner agencies are excited to expand our relationship to their employees to serve communities and people in need of assistance.”
In September 2017, BHPS made an important donation to United Way for hurricane relief, and made additional donations to United Way’s Long Island Impact Fund, benefitting United Way’s more than 100 nonprofit partners across the island. In considering how to grow donations, and underscore the company’s commitment to the community, BrightonGives will become BHPS’ new platform for all charitable giving for 2018 and beyond.
