“Castlevania” season 2 is finally available for streaming on Netflix. Frederator Studios' animated adaptation of Konami's beloved side-scrolling action-adventure game is bigger and beefier than the show's first season.
Following the realization that Dracula's (Graham McTavish) desire to wipe out the townspeople of Wallachia was because of the clergy's murder of the vampire lord's wife, Trevor Belmont (Richard Armitage) has now found unlikely allies to join him in “Castlevania” season 2. Fans will now get the chance to see Dracula's own son, Alucard (James Callis), join the fight against Dracula's horde.
“Castlevania” season 2 will definitely start its first episode with Trevor Belmont, Sypha Belnades (Alejandra Reynoso), and Alucard's alliance firmly acknowledged. Fans can now expect both Sypha and Alucard to feature their abilities and powers more prominently after revealing their true capabilities to Belmont in the last season's finale. But scenes that showcase the awaited fighting prowess of the alliance will not be the only “Castlevania” season 2 surprise.
Fans can now enjoy the fact that “Castlevania” season 2's storyline is worth eight episodes. This makes the video game adaptation a great show to binge on for those who have yet to watch the series. For fans coming from the long wait of the first season's end, the extra episodes are a welcome extension to the show's plot, which seems to be becoming more complex as the series progresses.
For those who just cannot get enough of “Castlevania” or feel that eight episodes are still too short a run for the adaptation, Richard Armitage has already spilled – even prior to “Castlevania” season 2's premiere – the news that the show will be getting a third season. While Armitage confirms that season 3 is in the works, the actor has not mentioned a target date for the upcoming installment's streaming availability.
Fans excited to see how the upcoming installment compares to the show's first season can now stream “Castlevania” season 2 on Netflix. Hopefully, the show's second season will not disappoint and instead keep fans wanting more until the show returns again for its third season.
