Celine Dion recently made headlines when she attended the Paris Fashion Week where she showed off her elegant fashion style. But aside from her wardrobe, fans and outlets have noticed that she’s become thinner. After several articles were published online, the 50-year-old diva has come forward to share her thoughts on the matter, CNN reported.
"If I like it, I don't want to talk about it. Don't bother. Don't take a picture. I'm doing this for me. I want to feel strong, beautiful, feminine and sexy. If you like it, I'll be there. If you don't, leave me alone,” Celine Dion said.
Right now, it isn’t clear what’s causing her weight loss although Radar Online (via Naughty Gossip) is convinced that being workaholic is the culprit. An unnamed source of the publication apparently revealed to the tabloid that Celine Dion is overworking herself as she believes it’s what her late husband would’ve wanted. However, readers should take this claim with a grain of salt since Radar Online isn’t exactly a beacon of reliable information.
Another narrative that is surrounding Celine Dion is her supposedly new beau. The guy in question is dancer Pepe Munoz who has been seen with “The Power of Love” singer on multiple occasions. The diva said that her relationship with the 34-year-old is purely platonic even though they’ve been seen hugging and holding hands in public.
Munoz is also speculated to be the cause of Celine Dion’s weight loss. As rumors would have it, the diva is apparently “starving” herself to please the dancer. Others are claiming that her grief for her late husband, Rene Angelil, is the root of the problem. Even though it’s been three years since Angelil has died, it seems that the diva has yet to move on from her heartbreak.
Indeed, Celine Dion was seen crying during the Paris Fashion Week when “First Time Ever I Saw Your Face” started playing. The piece holds a special place in the 50-year-old’s heart as it’s the song that she and Angelil danced to during their wedding.
