“Criminal Minds” season 14 episode 5 is coming next week and it will be the show’s Halloween offering to the fans. Since this is for the spookiest time of the year, viewers can expect some hair-raising scenes in “Tall Man.”
According to Rotten Tomatoes, the synopsis for the upcoming “Criminal Minds” season 14 episode 5 reads: “The BAU investigates a spooky local ghost story of the 'Tall Man' and the clues it provides when two people go missing in the woods of East Allegheny’s Dead Man’s Conservatory, and a third mysteriously surfaces the following day with limited details as to what happened to her friends. JJ reluctantly returns to her hometown, triggering emotional flashbacks to age 11 and her older sister’s tragic death.”
As stated, “Criminal Minds” season 14 episode 5 will show the BAU team solving a case of multiple murders in Tallahassee, Florida. The police figures out that the way the victims were killed is ritualistic in nature, plus it appears that the church in the area is connected to the crimes, so they are narrowing down their suspects. Perhaps the pastor is involved?
One of the victims was last seen around the church but the clerics are denying that the girl was there. They try to refute the accusation by saying that the victim stopped coming to the church several weeks prior. Spencer Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler) believes there is something sinister about the church and its people so it cannot be helped if they are on the suspects' list.
Furthermore, “Criminal Minds” season 14 episode 5 will also delve into Penelope Garcia's (Kirsten Vangsness) unusual behavior after she was kidnapped. Emily Prentiss (Paget Brewster) will step in to help her heal from the trauma.
“Criminal Minds” season 14 episode 5 is scheduled to air on Oct. 31 at 10 p.m. on CBS. Meanwhile, the whole season will only feature 15 episodes in all, unlike the previous installments with 20 or more episodes.
