With the release of a new “Darksiders 3” gameplay trailer, gamers finally got a close look at Fury in action while she is using her Force Hollow form in the upcoming hack and slash action-adventure game.
The trailer shows that Fury can transform her usual weapon of choice, the bladed whip Scorn, into a giant purple hammer as she pummels her adversaries in the Force Hollow form. Now gamers can stop complaining about how her whip looks weak in comparison to the weapons used by Death (the Harvester scythe) and War (the Chaoseater sword) in the previous games. Interestingly, it appears that Fury can also travel along walls in this form in “Darksiders 3.”
“The Force Hollow allows Fury the collection and precise focusing of energy into concentrated attacks. With Scorn taking on the appearance of a giant hammer, Fury can shatter her enemy’s defenses and inflict severe damage. Scorn can also act as a focal point for magnetic attraction–allowing Fury to draw in energy, rubble, and even enemies, before releasing it all in a single explosive burst. With great effort, Fury can even maintain this magnetic sphere to traverse walls and ceilings,” the description states.
Aside from the Force Hollow, Fury also has a Flame Hollow form that transforms her into a flame-haired warrior. The form allows her to transform her whip into two blazing flails and she also gets the ability to execute an explosive finishing move to devastate nearby opponents. By using the Flame Hollow form, Fury can walk through fire and lava without taking any damage, and she can jump higher by launching herself into the air as a fireball.
With each form also comes with a new set of attacks, so players should have a lot of options to choose from. “Darksiders 3” is scheduled to launch on Nov. 27 for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
