Since the “Dead Space” remake was officially announced, EA has only released a short teaser video leaving most details about the upcoming game under wraps. But Motive, the studio developing the game, will change that this week through a live stream.
‘Dead Space’ remake first official preview
EA announced the “Dead Space” remake preview on Monday through the game’s official Twitter page. It will be released through a live stream on Motive’s Twitch channel on Tuesday, Aug. 31, at 10 a.m. PT / 1 p.m. ET.

It is unclear yet how much of the “Dead Space” remake will be previewed in the live stream. But fans should manage their expectations. EA said the event will reveal “a very early look at the development” of the game, suggesting it is unlikely to present a full gameplay trailer yet.
EA confirmed to GameSpot that Motive will present an “early development build” of the “Dead Space” remake at the live stream. "It's important to note that the build that will be shown in the livestream is an early prototype of the game and not final in any capacity,” EA added.
The event will also include interviews from developers, including senior producer Philippe Ducharme and creative director Roman Campos-Oriola. EA also reportedly confirmed that the live stream will feature “special guests” from the “Dead Space” community.
‘Dead Space’ remake release date could be in 2022
It makes sense that the live stream will not feature a gameplay trailer or a demo of the “Dead Space” remake just yet. The game is not expected to launch anytime soon. In Ducharme and Campos-Oriola’s interview with IGN, the article mentioned that the “Dead Space” remake is still at the early stage of its development.
In early August, noted gaming insider Jeff Grubb reported that the game is slated to launch in late 2022 if Motive does not encounter any major roadblocks along the way. While the release date window of the “Dead Space” remake is still unknown, Motive confirmed that the game is not planned to launch on last-gen consoles.
