“Elementary Season 7” will be the final season of this rather unique Sherlock Holmes adaptation where the partnership between two Victorian-era men was reimagined as a male and female romance. The falling ratings are one of the reasons being blamed for this and it would seem that the network is set on sticking to this trend. If the final season was to premiere in the summer, for example, the show would end with a groan instead of a bang.
As CarterMatt notes, CBS has been quite coy with regards to providing fans with a clear date on when they can expect to watch “Elementary Season 7.” It would seem that the network is waiting for something before making the announcement, as it did for a lot of other shows in a recent posting. Along with the detective series, “Instinct” season 2 was also excluded from the schedule reveal.
Does this mean that “Elementary Season 7” will be coming out on the summer? If so, this can be both a good and bad thing, with the chances of success depending on the casting of the dice. Basically, summertime often involves less competition for air time. However, this is because people generally spend less time watching TV during this period.
Folks simply have other things to do when school is out and the sun is shining. This could mean that only the most dedicated fans of the show would watch “Elementary Season 7” in any kind of meaningful manner. This could then spell trouble for the show’s final season, which should ideally end with dignity instead of dying by the wayside.
Since the schedule for the premiere date of “Elementary Season 7” has yet to be revealed, best guess puts it in summer. This would be the most sensible time for the show’s final season to come out and fans might want to give it as much support as they can.
