There has yet to be any announcements with regards to “Food Wars” Season 4 and this has left a lot of fans wondering if it is actually coming. After all, regardless of how popular an anime is, there is never any guarantee that it is going to continue until a new season is actually announced. So despite having plenty of source material to work with, has the show actually been canceled?
The short answer as to whether or not “Food Wars” Season 4 has been canceled is no. There has been no announcement to that effect and the absence of a confirmation that the season is actually in development is not an indication of cancellation. With the popularity that the show is currently enjoying and the abundance of the source material it has to work with, its continuation is practically assured.
Just for context, the manga currently has about 31 volumes right now with a total of about 292 chapters. Each season goes through about seven to eight of these volumes, so by the end of season 3, there will be enough to produce “Food Wars” Season 4. With this being the case, there shouldn’t be any issue with regards to the source material that would prevent a new season from being made.
With just how popular the anime has been with its target audience, it would be inconceivable for the anime to be canceled now. As such, the only reason why “Food Wars” Season 4 might not have been announced yet is that of other factors that might be beyond anyone’s expectations.
In any case, if the animators decide to work on “Food Wars” Season 4 right now, fans might be able to watch new episodes by late 2019. Of course, there are no guarantees with regards to this particular topic, so viewers will simply have to wait for updates.
