“Frozen 2” is finally coming. It has been five years since the original animated movie was released so the sequel is actually long overdue. Disney announced that they will do a follow-up to the immensely successful film in 2015 and the production team has been working on it since then.
Moviegoers, especially the kids, want “Frozen 2” to happen and Walt Disney heard it well thus the new movie is in the works. However, it seems that this time, it will not be suitable for young children anymore.
Forbes reported that “Frozen 2” could be categorized as an animated young adult fantasy so it has a PG-13 rating. This may be bad news for parents who would like their kids to watch it but it seems that the sequel’s theme has been changed a bit so now it is not suitable for very young audiences.
Plot and Cast
Other than the fact that it will somehow touch on LGBTQ, little is known when it comes to “Frozen 2’s” story. It remained unknown and Disney is keeping it a secret until it is ready for release.
As for the cast, it will still feature the main cast members from the original “Frozen” movie. This means that Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel are set to return as Anna and Elsa, respectively. Moreover, Josh Gad will still give life to the lovable snowman Olaf while Jonathan Groff will reprise his role as Kristoff.
Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck will direct “Frozen 2” while Allison Schroeder joins the team to help with the screenplay. It was said that Sterling K Brown and Evan Rachel Wood are also in talks to join the movie as additional characters.
Release Date
“Frozen 2” was originally slated for release in cinemas on Nov. 27, 2019, but it was moved to an earlier date. The movie is now coming to theaters on Nov. 22, 2019, in the U.S. and the U.K.
