“Fuller House” season 5 is now being anticipated after the fourth installment was released last month. Season 4 premiered on Netflix already and while many people are expecting the fifth season to follow, it should be noted that the comedy sitcom has not been renewed for a new run yet.
The “Fuller House” reboot began in 2016 and it proved that it still has strong followers as more episodes were ordered for the show since then. Now, as the fourth season wrapped up in December 2018, what is the likelihood that it will be renewed? Is the show going to be canceled instead?
TV Line previously reported that “Fuller House” season 5 may not come and it made this claim after supposedly hearing that Netflix is seriously thinking about canceling the show once season 4 concludes. However, when the publication tried to confirm if this was true, the streaming site’s spokesperson denied that they have already made a decision with regards to its renewal.
“No decision has been made about the future of Fuller House; we’re looking forward to the premiere of Season 4 later this year,” he told TV Line.
On the other hand, Candace Cameron-Bure also addressed the rumors that Netflix will not air “Fuller House” season 5 anymore. The actress stated that their show was not canceled and it will not be.
Speaking with E! News, Candace Cameron-Bure said, "I don't know why or how that rumor got started. I think it was a slow news day and someone wanted to make it more of it than it is. I have no doubt that we're going to be back for Season 5.”
Meanwhile, once “Fuller House” season 5 is renewed, it will surely reveal the baby’s name. In the previous season’s finale, Kimmy Gibbler already gave birth to Stephanie’s daughter and Jimmy already proposed to the new mom so the viewers can expect the new family to add more fun in the next installment.
“Fuller House” season 5 is likely to be back in December if Netflix will finally announce its renewal in the coming months.
