‘Fuller House’ Season 5 News: Fans Outraged by Cancellation; Did Lori Loughlin and Bob Saget Hint New Network Will Save the Show?

Fuller House

“Fuller House” season 5 has been confirmed to be the last and although Candace Cameron-Bure insisted that their show was not canceled but was pulled out because the right time to do it has come. She added that Netflix is giving the show it's proper ending but fans feel different as they were enraged by the news.

Infuriated, fans of “Fuller House” launched a campaign to save the show and as part of the campaign, they wrote to various networks that could possibly take in the show after Netflix decided to take it out from their programming lineup. Via Facebook, the call to save the series after “Fuller House” season 5 was started by the show’s fan page owner called Mar.

Launching the “#HowRude” campaign, he wrote, “Hey guy’s, it’s Mar! Let us try a last ditch effort to save this show! We have so much time in my opinion to at least TRY! Let us get the word out about this campaign! Use the hashtag #HowRudeCampaign and #SaveFullerHouse on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram!”

He also encouraged all the fans to write to Hulu, Amazon, ABC, and NBC but reminded everyone to still be respectful when they contact the mentioned networks. Avid fans of “Fuller House” know that “How rude” is Stephanie’s (Jodie Sweetin) tagline in the show and she has been saying this since the “Full House” days.

Now, Lori Loughlin (Rebecca Donaldson-Katsopolis) and Bob Saget (Danny Tanner) may have just hinted that their sitcom may continue after “Fuller House” season 5. They said that the fans’ campaign may actually save the comedy-drama for real.

In her interview with The Hollywood Reporter, she admitted that she does not want the show to end because she thinks there are still lots of stories to be told. She added that she actually does not get it as to why Netflix ordered “Fuller House” season 5 to be the final run.

"I don't understand why it’s the final season, I have to be honest with you. I think it does really well for Netflix and I don’t know their business model. I'm not sure how it all works because it's not like network television, but I was surprised.”

She added, “I know it was 18 episodes, which is a bigger order than usual, but I'm still surprised that they’re ending it at season five."

The actress then revealed that there is a chance that they will move to another network to continue. "Who knows, maybe if Netflix says no more, maybe someone else will pick it up. Who knows?" she said.

Likewise, Bob Saget commented on the fans’ negative reactions to the cancellation of “Fuller House” and said that the uproar could actually make it possible for their series to go beyond season 5.

"Who knows if it's the last season?" the actor told E! News. "I don't know. Fans are rebelling."

With what they just said, it seems that Loughlin and Saget have something that they cannot share yet. Perhaps, they already have some idea or heard something about the show being “adopted” by another network? We will know once a new update about “Fuller House” season 5 is released.
