“Game of Thrones” Season 8 is going to see the final days of the legendary HBO fantasy TV show and it seems that everyone is pulling out all the stops. One of the directors of the show recently revealed quite a few juicy details that include a hint on how gruesome this season will be. It would seem that it’s going to top even the infamous Red Wedding and all episodes will be more than 60 minutes long.
In a recent Reddit AMA, David Nutter took his time to answer a lot of questions from the fans. Nutter is one of the directors of “Game of Thrones” Season 8 and he did his best to not spoil anything. The result is a lot of teasing and exciting hints with regards to what fans can expect from the show’s last season.
In one instance, he was asked to compare this season with those in the past. With Nutter being the director of the "The Rains of Castemere" episode back in season 3, he immediately seized on the chance to make comparisons with the Red Wedding. Suffice it to say, “Game of Thrones” Season 8 will have something even worse than that infamous event.
"As far as Season 8 compared to the Red Wedding I just have to tell you - hang onto your seat cause it’s going to be special," Nutter revealed.
The director also talked about how long each episode of “Game of Thrones” Season 8 is going to be and it seems that none of them will be shorter than 60 minutes. This makes sense since there will only be six episodes and they are trying to compress the whole story in such a limited manner.
“Game of Thrones” Season 8 is set to premiere on April 2019, USA Today reports. This means that fans will have to wait a while to scratch that “GoT” itch.
