German economy likely to expand by about 1% this year: Capital Economics

Quotes from Capital Economics:

-February's smaller than expected rise in the German Ifo index may be an early sign that businesses are worried about the wider effects of the Greek crisis. The rise in the headline Business Climate Indicator, from 106.7 to 106.8, was worse than the consensus forecast of another healthy increase to 107.7.

-Taken together with the modest rise in German industrial production in December, the survey adds to signs that Q4's strong 0.7% quarterly rise in German GDP is not a sign of things to come. For now, we expect a steady recovery to continue, with the German economy expanding by about 1% this year and 1.5% in 2016.
