It seems that Lea Michele's co-stars are not letting her off easily after accusing her of being racist against them.
The Glee star has finally spoken and issued an apology on her Instagram account, which seemed to fall flat on its face as criticisms about her behavior continue to pile up.
The issue started when Michele tweeted her support to George Floyd, the black American from Minneapolis, who died last May 25, 2020, due to police brutality.
Michele's Glee co-star, Samantha Marie Ware, responded to her tweet, asking if she remembered the time when she made her first gig on television a living hell.
Ware's response prompted others to also come out and speak about the discrimination that they had suffered from Michele.
Michele, in her apology, did not mention anyone, though. She started her post by seemingly defending herself by saying that her tweet pertaining to Floyd was meant to show her support for friends and colleagues who are of color.
She did say that the response her tweet generated made her realized how her castmates perceived her behavior towards them.
Michele then went on to say that how her behavior was perceived was not the point before she apologized for acting such and for the pain that it had caused.
Ware responded by pointing out Michele's use of the word perceived, and instead of accepting the apology told the pregnant star to open her purse and donate to the GoFundMe page of James Scurlock, who died while joining a protest in Omaha.
Another co-star of Michele, this time on the Broadway, Gerard Canonico, took her to task on her use of the word perceived.
He started his response by alleging that his tweet was deleted, so he will try again. He then stated how Michele was a nightmare to him and his understudy. He said that Michele made them feel that they did not belong there, the same accusation that Glee co-star Dabier Snell made.
He then pointedly told Michele to apologize for her behavior instead of putting the blame on how it was perceived.
