Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are sure to come up whenever the topic is about wedding or engagement. But regardless of how many times that they deny it, the news items about them do not die down.
Recently, Gavin Rossdale’s ex appeared on the “Ellen DeGeneres Show” and she made it clear that she and Miranda Lambert’s ex-husband are not engaged or married. To put a stop to the rumors, she declared, “He (Blake) is my boyfriend still.”
However, despite not bringing their relationship to the next level, Gwen Stefani said in another interview that it does not mean that she is doubting her future with Blake Shelton. In fact, the “You Make It Feel Like Christmas” singer stated that she wish that the 42-year-old country singer would be her ‘forever.’
On engagement, Entertainment Tonight quoted Gwen Stefani as saying, “There is zero pressure. I think when there’s trauma, the way that we had trauma back in the day, going through all these hard times to get to a place where you find somebody that’s like your best friend, you know that you can depend on and trust.”
She added, “I think that we’re just trying to be in the moment as much as we can.”
On the other hand, Blake Shelton also had an interview around the time when Gwen Stefani has been saying that she and her beau are not in a hurry to get hitched. While he admitted that what his girlfriend said was right, the singer said that their relationship is deeper now.
Moreover, Blake Shelton was asked about when he is planning to propose but instead of giving a direct answer, he said, "Gwen and I aren’t just dating, you know.” He further explained that they are not mere boyfriend-girlfriend today as they are past that level already.
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have been dating since 2015. They got together just months after their divorce from their respective spouses. While the former has three kids with Gavin Rossdale, the latter and Miranda Lambert were childless.
