PALO ALTO, Calif., March 20, 2018 -- HP Inc. The rise of the gig economy is having reverberations on how and why people work. Business models are shifting and new careers are emerging. For example, according to the World Economic Forum (WEF), small businesses make up 99% of the private sector in the UK, and there are more than 57.9 million small business employees in the U.S. Similarly, WEF reported that in China, small and micro enterprises and self-employed entrepreneurs accounted for 94.2% of all firms.
“The micro-business economy has never been stronger, and today’s entrepreneurs are looking for smaller design-oriented products that occupy less space, deliver excellent print quality and make it easy to print from a smartphone,” said Premal Kazi, Head of Home Business Printing at HP Inc. “We designed our new LaserJet Pro line with ease of use, size and mobility in mind, so that they can focus on running their business, whether in a home office, shared working space or on the go.”
Smallest Form Factor with Maximum Productivity
Now 30% smaller than the previous generation, the HP LaserJet Pro M15 and M28 printers are about as tall as a standard No. 2 pencil or the average smartphone. The printers feature a sleek compact design that will fit nearly anywhere.
Even with the tiny size, these new LaserJet Pros can print at speeds up to 18/19 pages per minute2, allowing users to quickly finish projects on a tight schedule.
Easy Mobile Printing
The HP LaserJet Pro M15 and M28 printers allow mobile workers to easily print business documents and scan on the go—all from a smartphone or tablet. For example, the HP Smart App is designed to completely control the printer from a smartphone, offering simple set up in minutes, fast scanning to the cloud, and making it more convenient than ever to order supplies or print from virtually anywhere3. In addition to the HP Smart App, the new laser devices also support Apple AirPrint™; Google Cloud Print, Mopria-certified and Wi-Fi Direct.
Laser Quality
The smallest laser in its class from HP is also the company’s lowest priced, allowing micro business users to save money while enjoying the quality and reliability expected from the industry leader.
The printers are intuitive, feature a simple design and automatically save energy with HP Auto-on/Auto-off technology. In addition, preinstalled cartridges help users get printing professional-quality documents right out of the box.
Availability and Pricing
HP’s new LaserJet Pro M15 and M28 series is estimated to be available for purchase worldwide starting April 2018. More information can be found at hp.com/go/smallestlaser.
