“Haikyuu” chapter 400 is up next and it is getting more exciting as the game between the Schweiden Adlers and MSBY Black Jackals is heating up again. They are battling in the fourth set of the game that is very important for both sides so the attacks are really intense.
The play has been going on for a while now and the Black Jackals is in the lead with two wins against the Adlers. If the Jackals will also defeat the Kageyama’s team in this set, they will be the final winner as the Adlers need to win all the remaining matches if they can win in this fourth game.
Recap
In the previous “Haikyuu” chapter 399 titled “Embodiment,” the story ended showing an even score between the Hinata and Kageyama’s teams. The scoreboard shows 18-18 and the Adlers were able to catch up due to Wakatoshi Ushijima’s great serves and cannon attack strategy.
It was Ushijima who also closed the gap to make the score 15-13 so his team will only need two more points to make it even. The Adlers’ defense at this point is also great that even if Jackal’s Kotaro Bokuto is putting so much pressure on them, they still manage to deflect their attacks.
“Haikyuu” chapter 399 was short and it mostly focused on Tobio Kageyama and his team. The Adlers’ setter has been calm throughout the game and his backstory was also shown a bit.
Readers were able to see him with his grandfather who greatly influenced him to play volleyball. In the narrative about his background, his grandfather told Tobio that in the future, he would meet many players who are better than him but they will all make good friends.
Spoilers - plot prediction
“Haikyuu” chapter 400 will be more chaotic since the Adlers and the Jackals are now tied with 18-18 score. Shoyo Hinata is the star in this game but Atsumu Miya is also shining in this game. On the other team, Tobio Kageyama and Korai Hoshiumi are expected to score more so their team could take the lead score again.
Alongside Kageyama and Hoshiumi, Romero and Ushijima should also act now to secure the win in game 4 or they will be heading home as the final losers. The Adlers can’t lose this round or it will be over for them while the Jackals need to play one more game if they lose.
