“Hawaii Five-0” Season 9 Episode 14 will be dealing with an extremist group in the island after McGarrett (Alex O’Loughlin) and Grover (Chi McBride) investigated a murder. The victim is a friend of Flippa (Shawn Mokuahi Garnett) and it’s unclear how close both individuals are, CarterMatt reported.
Regardless of their bond, the case seems to have an emotional impact on Grover as hinted by the synopsis of “Hawaii Five-0” Season 9 Episode 14. This release will be an interesting story to follow given that McGarrett and Grover have been portrayed as characters who have differing opinions.
While the pair has formed a bond through the years they’ve been working together, they never actually gotten close as much as McGarrett and Danny (Scott Caan) have. Thus, it appears that the writers are trying to solidify this relationship in “Hawaii Five-0” Season 9 Episode 14.
And speaking of Danny, the character will not be appearing in the next release yet again. It’s no secret by now that showrunners aren’t using Danny as much as they’re using McGarrett to move the story forward. This is due to Caan’s wishes to have less screen time than O’Loughlin, citing family reasons for such decision. The actor said that he has proposed this set-up to the showrunners and they’ve agreed to his terms. So those who are hoping to see Danny in “Hawaii Five-0” Season 9 Episode 14 will be disappointed by his absence once more.
But it’s alright given that McBride is stepping up to the plate, Devdiscourse reported. The actor has nothing been short of phenomenal in the series and his acting chops will be highlighted in “Hawaii Five-0” Season 9 Episode 14. Perhaps the reason for Grover’s emotional reaction to the case is reminiscent to the murder-suicide that affected him all those years ago.
Whatever it is, it seems to have rattled the veteran. As for the release date of “Hawaii Five-0” Season 9 Episode 14, it’s been slated for release on Feb. 1.
