This week is going to be a blast for avid fans of Steve McGarrett (Alex O’Loughlin) and his team as two all-new episodes will air back-to-back on Friday. “Hawaii Five-0” season 9 episodes 16 and 17 will feature new plots that will focus on Adam (Ian Anthony Dale) and Junior (Beulah Koale), respectively.

“Hawaii Five-0” season 9 episode 16 is titled “Hapai ke kuko, hanau ka hewa that translates to “When Covetousness Is Conceived, Sin Is Born.” A new case emerges when a leading salesperson of beauty products company is slain.
The investigation in “Hawaii Five-0” season 9 episode 16 will be quite tricky as the synopsis says the victim works a company that practices pyramid scheme. Since she is regarded as the top salesperson, it could also mean she has made a lot of inaccurate promises — resulting to many angry people — that will ultimately blow up the list of potential suspects.
Amid the murder investigation, fans will see another side of Adam in “Hawaii Five-0” season 9 episode 16 as he “befriends a homeless man estranged from his family.” Adam comes from a very interesting family dynamic and maybe he would relate to the homeless man on some level. But where this newfound friendship will lead is still a mystery.

Moving on to “Hawaii Five-0” season 9 episode 17, Junior will be forced to choose between his police responsibilities and his emotions. The team handles a case of a bank heist that turned to a homicide.
One of the suspects in “Hawaii Five-0” season 9 episode 17 turns out to be the father of Junior's ex-girlfriend's son. The official synopsis hints that Junior still has feelings for the woman, so he might be too close to this case. But, hopefully, he decides to do what is right and Junior gets a chance to experience a significant character development this week.
“Hawaii Five-0” season 9 episode 16 will air on Friday, Feb. 22, at 9 p.m. ET. It will be immediately followed by the O'Loughlin-directed episode 17 at 10 p.m. ET on CBS.
