BOISE, Idaho, March 13, 2018 -- Healthwise and GetWellNetwork® announced today they will partner in offering health education to health care providers and their patients. GetWellNetwork will add over 600 Healthwise patient education videos to its current suite of patient experience technologies that deliver Precision Engagement™ across the care continuum.
The Healthwise® Video Library will be available to health systems, hospitals, physician practices, urgent care clinics, and ambulatory surgery centers, as well as in a patient’s home setting. People can access the health education in a variety of settings—in a physician’s office, from a hospital in-room television or tablet, or while patients are on the go.
The combination of Healthwise patient education videos and GetWellNetwork technology will improve and streamline the patient experience by delivering award-winning health education that is:
- Evidence-based and free from bias.
- Developed and reviewed by medical experts and continually updated.
- Engaging and educational.
- Written in plain language and user tested.
“We currently use Healthwise patient education content for our Epic patient instructions, our patient portal, and on our website,” says Cary Kirk, Health Engagement Manager at Stanford Healthcare, about the partnership they have with GetWellNetwork and Healthwise. “We’re very happy to have the Healthwise Video Library available through GetWellNetwork technology to help us achieve our organizational goal of providing consistent, quality patient education across the continuum of care.”
“GetWellNetwork’s delivery platform is an ideal fit for Healthwise content, and the partnership helps extend the Healthwise mission to help people make better health decisions,” said Dave Mink, Chief Client Officer at Healthwise. “It’s great to see our patient education reach more people where and when they need it.”
“Patients benefit daily and become more active participants in their care when prescribed the right education and the right time,” said Michael O’Neil, Founder and CEO of GetWellNetwork. “Enhancing our library with Healthwise’s video content will further extend the patient experience and improve outcomes.”
