One of the biggest trends in the smartphone market in recent years is pushing display bezels as far to the edges as possible. And upcoming devices, including Huawei Mate 30 Pro, is reportedly slated to push this design innovation much further.
Huawei Mate 30 Pro design: Screen’s ‘large curvature’ leaked?
Tech fans have been hearing plenty of details about the Huawei Mate 30 Pro over the past few weeks. One information that has been repeatedly reported about Huawei Mate 30 Pro is the size of its screen’s side curves.
A few weeks ago, various reports cited anonymous sources claiming that Huawei Mate 30 Pro is slated to have the biggest screen curvature that the tech company has ever released. Unfortunately, none of it has been officially confirmed yet.
However, the words of anonymous sources were upped to leaked images supposedly showing the Huawei Mate 30 Pro display panel. Though the photos need to be verified by official representatives, they do support claims that the upcoming premium device would sport a curvier screen. If one would look closely to the leaked images, it appears that Huawei Mate 30 Pro practically does not have side bezels because the screen panel extends almost to the edges of the rear side.

Huawei Mate 30 Pro specs, cameras, sensors: What to expect
Other reports are suggesting that Huawei Mate 30 Pro’s screen is not entirely new design. While other smartphone makers are getting rid of the display notch or making it much smaller, Huawei is anticipated to retain it.
Various leaked photos allegedly showing Huawei Mate 30 Pro displays all have the typical wide notch, and there could be a good reason for that. The device is also rumored to sport several sensors on the front side to be placed on the display notch. This sparked speculations that Huawei could be working on its own facial recognition technology.
Huawei Mate 30 Pro release date: Expect new premium device this year
As mentioned, Huawei has yet to recognize any of the rumored information about the Mate 30 Pro. But their cycle of releasing new smartphones over the years suggests that they should be making a major announcement within the next couple of months. Its predecessors, Mate 10 Pro and Mate 20 Pro, were both announced in October.
