NEW YORK, Jan. 02, 2018 -- JW Michaels & Co. today announces the hire of Jodi M. Wechsler to help grow the firm’s Accounting and Finance (A&F) practice within the company’s New York office.
Prior to joining the company, Wechsler founded one of the most successful A&F asset management recruiting practices where she focused her efforts on recruiting top-tier talent across the United States.
“As JW Michaels & Co. continues to grow and reaffirm its stance as a top recruitment firm in the industry, propelling our A&F practice is key,” said Jason Wachtel, managing partner of JW Michaels & Co. “Jodi’s experience in the marketplace, determination, intelligence, integrity and entrepreneurial drive, are a great asset to the company and the clients we serve. We look forward to watching this sector grow under Jodi’s leadership.”
Wechsler began her professional career in public accounting at Goldstein, Golub, Kessler and Co. While in public accounting, she worked exclusively on financial service clientele focused on alternative assets. She later joined Paul Tudor Jones' multibillion-dollar fund, Tudor Investment Group, in their corporate accounting department. Wechsler transitioned into recruiting for alternative assets in 1998.
“I’m thrilled to join such a reputable company and talented team,” said Wechsler. “My philosophy toward recruiting aligns so perfectly with the team at JW Michaels, in that we are invested in the long-term success of clients and candidates. As the A&F industries continue to diversify and grow, we will continue to find the top talent and provide that unique customer service for which JW Michaels is known.”
Wechsler received her degree in accounting from the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University, where she was a member of the Freeman School’s Morton A. Aldrich Society and the Tulane Associates program.
