Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck are already divorced but it was reported that the former is still somehow controlling her ex-husband’s life. It was said that the “Peppermint” actress is keeping Ben under her watch and this means she needs to know where he goes and what he does at all times.
“Jen dictates all outings and gatherings -- birthdays, holidays, special events,” a source told Closer Weekly. “She’s keeping him on a tight leash, and he doesn’t have much choice other than to go along with it.”
It was added that Jennifer Garner also set some rules with regards to Ben Affleck’s current or future girlfriends. It was relayed that Jen asked Ben not to let their kids be around Shauna Sexton or his other GFs.
“The kids are to have no interaction with Shauna or any other girlfriend that Ben might have. Jen’s intent on keeping it a tight-knit family unit,” the insider supposedly told the tabloid.
Although some of the rules are not fair, the source stated that Ben Affleck does not have a choice but to follow. This is supposedly because defying the rules may affect his custody rights to their three kids – Violet, 12, Seraphina, 9, and Samuel, 6.
It was said that Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck’s divorce proceedings also include a guideline that requires the latter to have a monitor whenever he spends time with the children. The report noted that this part of the rule just proved that Jen does not trust her ex-husband.
Furthermore, the insider mentioned that “if Ben shows any signs of partaking in his old vices, he’s going to pay a hefty price as far as time with the kids is concerned.” Thus, Ben really has to be careful with his actions, supposedly.
However, there claims above have not been confirmed by either Ben Affleck or Jennifer Garner or their respective representatives.
Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck’s divorce was finalized earlier this month. The divorce was granted three years after their separation, People reported. Meanwhile, Ben reportedly recently broke up with rumored girlfriend Shauna Sexton to focus on his sobriety and kids.
