BYOP series continues with events in Baton Rouge and New Orleans, aimed at helping management professionals improve employment operations through discussions of employee handbook and company policy issues
NEW ORLEANS, March 13, 2018 -- McGlinchey Stafford PLLC’s Labor and Employment law team continues its Bring Your Own Policy (BYOP) series with “BYOP 3.0 – Investigations: There’s a Lot at Stake.”
BYOP 3.0 will be presented twice: Thursday, March 22, 2018, from 8:15 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. at McGlinchey Stafford’s offices in Baton Rouge; and again on Friday, March 23, 2018, from 8:15 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. at McGlinchey Stafford’s offices in New Orleans.
McGlinchey Stafford attorneys Daniel Plunkett and Magdalen Blessey Bickford will lead a thoughtful discussion about planning and conducting investigations that are mindful of civil and criminal legal issues. The speakers will explain how to stay on the right side of the law as well as practical pointers to help professionals achieve the best possible outcome for their organizations, including preserving evidence and post-investigation strategies.
Bickford, who has served as a speaker at the two previous BYOP events, said, “We are excited to continue the BYOP series with a focus on internal investigations. Management professionals should have a thorough understanding of how to shape policies that allow them to plan for, conduct, and follow up after an internal investigation. It’s absolutely critical to understand the laws surrounding investigations and how to do things correctly.”
This program is open to McGlinchey Stafford clients and prospective clients. There is no cost to attend. The presentation has been approved for 1.25 hours of HRCI credit. Please register at least two days before the event. For more information, please contact Mary Pendarvis at [email protected].
