The news about the Microsoft Surface Book 3 have been going around for months, but still, the company is not releasing details about it. The lack of details led to a number of leaked reports that remained unconfirmed until now.
Wider screen option
The most recent news is that the Microsoft Surface Book 3 will be officially arriving with a wide 15-inch screen. According to Laptop Mag, the large-screened machine will be the first of its kind - the first in the original Surface Book line that previously only offer a 13.5-inch device as its biggest.
It was added that the 15-inch Microsoft Surface Book 3 will feature a 3:2 aspect ratio. The report stated that stepping up the size will allow the makers of the machine to include more powerful components that will, in turn, improve the functions and general usage of the laptop.
The 3rd Gen Surface Book to have an AMD Ryzen chip?
Aside from the bigger screen, another rumored feature for the upcoming Microsoft Surface Book 3 is the addition of AMD Ryzen chip in its body. It was said that this allegation actually makes sense because Microsoft previously revealed that it wants to use various chips from leading tech companies rather than exclusively using the CPU’s made by Intel.
Windows Central reported that this detail was leaked by a German site WinFuture and some tech enthusiasts and experts are also mentioning about Microsoft Surface Book 3 being fitted with AMD Ryzen chip so it appears to be true, at least as of this time.
"So yeah, someone sent me a pretty official looking price/spec list (cut-out) for what seems to be the new Microsoft #SurfaceLaptop3 15inch model based on AMD Ryzen,” Roland Quandt tweeted on Sept. 23. “There are mentions of quad, hexa and even octacore Ryzen SoCs, 8/12/16 GB RAM configs.”
This seems legit but this has to be affirmed by Microsoft first. Meanwhile, the Microsoft Surface Book 3 has no release date yet although many were saying that it will be launched in October as the company already sent out invitations for its event where several devices are expected to be introduced.
