Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have been dating each other on and off since 2009 but have since found stability in recent years. So much so that they’re reportedly calling each other husband and wife now, Entertainment Tonight reported.
While gossip media might take this as a sign that Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are actually married, a source of the publication assures that they are not. "Miley and Liam are totally in love, and are so happy living together," the source revealed. "They are not married but often laugh at the idea that people believe they are secretly wed. They refer to each other as husband and wife all the time and their friends laugh."
Secret weddings have indeed been among one of the false narratives that have been pushed by gossip media throughout the couple’s relationship. Last year, OK! magazine published an article claiming that Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth got married on Tybee Island. Of course, that story proved to be nothing more than fiction as the pair has yet to take their relationship to that level.
But Elle’s source did say that the couple has already talked about marriage and having children although they are in no hurry to attain both. Miley Cyrus even said on Ellen that even though they are engaged, it doesn’t necessarily mean that it will one day transition to a wedding. The “Wrecking Ball” singer went on to say that she doesn’t think that weddings actually make a relationship better. For his part, Liam Hemsworth seems to agree with his partner’s sentiments as he, too, appears content with their current set-up.
The bond between the two celebrities have been getting stronger through the years and it was recently tested when their Malibu home got destroyed during the Woolsey Fire. Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth respectively expressed their gratitude on Instagram and were thankful that they managed to flee from the raging inferno. Following the incident, the pair announced they’re donating $500,000 to those who have been affected by the calamity.
