LAKE SUCCESS, N.Y., Feb. 16, 2018 -- Newtek Business Services Corp. (“Newtek” or the “Company”), (NASDAQ:NEWT), an internally managed business development company ("BDC"), announced today the pricing of its public offering of $50.0 million in aggregate principal amount of its 6.25% Notes Due 2023 (the “Notes”). The Notes will mature on March 1, 2023 and may be redeemed in whole or in part at any time or from time to time at Newtek’s option on or after March 1, 2020. The Notes will bear interest at a rate of 6.25% per year payable quarterly on March 1, June 1, September 1 and December 1, of each year, beginning June 1, 2018. Newtek has also granted the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional $7.5 million in aggregate principal amount of the Notes to cover overallotments, if any.
The closing of the transaction is subject to customary closing conditions, and the Notes are expected to be delivered on or about February 21, 2018. Newtek expects to list the Notes on the Nasdaq Global Market under the trading symbol “NEWTI.”
