As with any good power battle anime, there will be a tournament segment in “One Punch Man” Season 2 that will feature Saitama as one of the participants. However, he will be doing so in secret and he will be hiding his identity using a truly ridiculous method. In any case, considering that he is the strongest person in the world, fans might expect his victory to be a foregone conclusion. However, this might not be the case.
For the most part, it can be expected that Saitama will be holding himself back from using his full power in the tournament. As such, the other participants will actually stand a chance at scratching him in “One Punch Man” Season 2 if only because he allows them to. However, there might actually be moments in the upcoming arc where the protagonist is in real danger of getting injured.
As to why he would be doing something like this in “One Punch Man” Season 2, the answer lies in Saitama’s desire to understand martial arts and those who practice it. After all, he is someone who can easily defeat anyone with a single punch. This means that he has no need to actually learn any kind of martial arts in order to defeat his enemies.
What’s more, Saitama was an ordinary salary worker before he became the strongest being in the universe. Based on his own admission, he did nothing more than regular exercises in excess to obtain the power he now has. In order to have a deeper understanding of what a fighter is supposed to be, and to alleviate his boredom to some extent, he will be joining a tournament in “One Punch Man” Season 2.
When “One Punch Man” Season 2 premieres in April, fans will see this development for themselves. Suffice it to say, there are going to be some awesome battles in the upcoming season.
