In a few hours, the OnePlus 9 series will be officially unveiled. While the company has been giving its fans many teasers about the upcoming smartphones’ features and design, people will still have to wait for the full launch to see the entire series and what it has to offer.
OnePlus 9 launch event: Where to watch
Luckily, OnePlus is hosting a global event that tech fans can access easily. Over the last year, online streaming of launch events has become more widely available, and that will be the same case for the OnePlus 9 series unveiling.
One of the easiest ways to tune in on the OnePlus 9 presentation is through the company’s official YouTube channel. A placeholder for the event is already available on the platform through this link. OnePlus fans may also want to click the Set Reminder button so they can be notified once the event is about to start. The event is scheduled for Tuesday, March 23, at 10 a.m. ET.
OnePlus 9 series: Device models, specs, design
OnePlus has not been too secretive about the OnePlus 9 series. Since the March 23 event was announced earlier this month, the company has been posting teasers about the upcoming devices’ features, design, and specs with emphasis on its cameras.
Fans now have confirmation that the leaks that appeared online over the last few months have been showing them the accurate appearance of the OnePlus 9. One notable change is the addition of the Hasselblad logo in the rear-facing camera bump to mark the first smartphone lineup that OnePlus and the camera manufacturer co-developed.

Several OnePlus 9 teasers also focused on the camera specs, including the use of Sony IMX789 and IMX766 sensors. OnePlus has also been posting teasers of images captured with its upcoming smartphones, but the event is likely to allot ample time to discuss more how the OnePlus 9 cameras could be better than its predecessors and rivals.
In one tweet, the company also confirmed that the OnePlus 9 series would feature LPDDR5 memory, among other technical specifications. While no longer surprising, it has also been confirmed that the upcoming smartphones will be powered by Qualcomm’s 5G platform Snapdragon 888. The more mysterious part of the smartphone series is a recently revealed model called OnePlus 9R that is teased to have gaming-focused features.
