The OnePlus Nord N20 is weeks away from arriving in the United States, but the company has unveiled the mid-range phone’s official design on Wednesday. And fans following previous leaks might be familiar with its appearance already.
To recap, noted leaker Steve “OnLeaks” Hemmerstoffer shared render images of the OnePlus Nord N20 last November. As many may have expected already, the leaked design is proven to be accurate now that OnePlus provided the first official look at the upcoming mid-range phone through PCMag.

The OnePlus Nord N20 will sport a prominently back panel and screen, which is quite a significant change from the Nord N10 5G’s design. The rear-facing cameras might also draw comparisons to the Galaxy S22 Ultra’s design. The two large lenses are elevated but there is no conventional camera bump. The hole-punch selfie camera is located at the top-left corner of the screen. However, the official teaser from OnePlus suggests the OnePlus Nord N20 will have matte edges while the leaked renders showed a more glossy design.
It was also confirmed in the report that OnePlus Nord N20 will be released in the U.S. “later this month.” But the company has yet to provide an exact release date, and most technical specifications are still under wraps.
One thing the company confirmed is that OnePlus Nord N20 will sport a 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen with 60Hz refresh rate. Some reports previously claimed that the device would perform at up to 90Hz like other OnePlus mid-range phones, but that will not be the case. PCMag noted, based on OnePlus COO Kinder Liu’s explanation, that the company may have had to choose between 60Hz AMOLED and 90Hz LCD panels while maintaining the intended price tag for the device.
It appears that OnePlus did not reveal the camera specs yet for OnePlus Nord N20, as it was not mentioned in the report. However, the official teaser image shows a label below the rear cameras that seems to read “64MP Ultrashot.”
OnePlus also confirmed the OnePlus Nord N20 will support its SuperVOOC battery technology, but did not mention yet the battery capacity and fast charging rating. It is worth noting that the US version of the OnePlus 10 Pro was downgraded from 80W (in China) to 65W. The company previously explained, “This is because 80W SUPERVOOC does not currently support 110 or 120-volt AC power – the typical standard for power outlets in the region.”
