Samsung has been actively deploying Android 14 updates across multiple devices. What initially started with the company's latest flagship smartphones has extended its reach to include more than five Galaxy budget-friendly phones, all set to receive the much-anticipated One UI 6.0 update.
Knowing More About the OneUI 6 Update
The OneUI 6 update is now expanding its availability to Asian countries, which include Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Tunisia. However, the process is still currently in progress. A24 users in these areas can also watch for firmware version A245FXXU3BWL1. Navigate to Settings, access Software Update, and proceed with the download and installation process if the update is available.
According to Giz China, this latest update addresses numerous security vulnerabilities in the previous version. It's worth noting that this is a substantial 2.16GB download, so it's advisable to connect to Wi-Fi to prevent any issues when updating your phone.
Samsung's proactive approach to updates extends beyond the Galaxy A24 as this also covers the Galaxy A14 and A54, as well as flagship phones, foldables, and high-end tablets. Despite its absence in the US market, the Galaxy A24 impressively keeps pace with the One UI 6 update rollout.
Improved UI for Everyone
The One UI 6 update ensures essential improvements in security and user-friendliness, even if it may not bring all the features found in high-end devices.
Notable improvements include a revamped Quick Panel design for Quick Settings and the capability to change wallpapers based on specific modes or times of the day. According to Samsung, users have more customization options for the lock screen, advanced weather widgets, new emojis, and a fresh default system font.
However, these releases do not occur instantaneously, as the updates will take several weeks to reach all users.
