Fans of the science fantasy animation series "Overlord" will be glad to hear that the third episode of the season is close to airing. "Overlord" is based on the future premise of a Virtual Reality MMORPG that has turned into a new world for a player who has learned the game continues on even when its servers have been shut down to the public.
“Overlord” season 3 premiered last July 10 with episode 2 airing last July 18. "Overlord" season 3 episode 3 is scheduled to air on July 25.
The second episode introduced us to The Giant of the East, who has also allied with the Demon Snake of the West. The Giant's minions had attacked Agu, the hobgoblin child that Enri and Nferia had rescued from a Barghest. Agu, the hobgoblin child tells Enri and Nferia about the encroaching armies of the Giant and the Demon Snake which kicks off the story hook for episode 3.
According to the episode 3's official website page, Enri will take it upon herself to go alone with the news of the Giant of the East to E-Rantel, the fortress city, but will encounter complications during his journey. Thankfully, the show's previews for episode 3 may give fans more clues as to the kinds of complications that Enri will encounter.
The two official previews for “Overlord” 3 Episode 3 can be watched below. The previews are unfortunately still in Japanese without English Subs.
From what can be surmised from the previews, it would seem Enri will most likely be captured by Goblin or Troll guards that may have been watching a checkpoint. Whether they are simply guards of E-Rantel who cannot believe the story provided by Enri, or connected to the Giant of the East, is not clear, but it definitely seems that Enri should not have headed back to E-Rantel alone.
Depending on the region, fans can catch "Overlord" 3 episode 3 over at Crunchyroll or Funimation
