Erangel got a futuristic overhaul in “PUBG Mobile 1.5: Ignition.” While the changes in the map are brought by the tech giant and energy company DynaHex, the patch primarily features Tesla with the addition of a fully functioning Gigafactory and popular self-driving vehicles developed by Elon Musk’s company.
PUBG Mobile 1.5 map updates, new mission
One of the main features of the “PUBG Mobile 1.5” is the titular Mission Ignition that can be accessed via EvoGround, where players can also earn Rating Points. The update implemented major changes in Erangel that are all related to the technological improvements made by DynaHex.
Names of popular locations in Erangel have been tweaked to much the futuristic theme of the update. “DynaHex has transformed six major areas of Erangel based on military defense, energy utilization, transportation and logistics, and cutting-edge scientific research,” the developer wrote in the “PUBG Mobile 1.5” patch notes. For example, Pochinki is now called the Transit Center with a new “high-tech station” and is now filled with city buses that players can use for transport or cover.
The school has been one of the areas in Erangel where heavy firefights usually occurred. In “PUBG Mobile 1.5,” the location is now known as the Tech Center, where new techs are being developed, and scientific research is happening. It still provides a wide array of structures that allows it to remain one of the best grounds for battle.
PUBG Mobile 1.5 adds Tesla vehicles with specific purposes
The addition of the Tesla Gigafactory in “PUBG Mobile 1.5” is not just for show. Players can explore the compound with fully functioning assembly lines. Players can build their own Tesla vehicles and use them to go from point A to point B across Erangel. Upon entering the Gigafactory, players will have to activate the assembly lines by turning on the three-terminal switches. Ginx reports one of the switches is located above the main entrance, and the other two can be found on the other side of the floor, right above the start of the assembly line.
Players can watch as the cars are being made in the Gigafactory, which has to be one of the most interesting details added in “PUBG Mobile 1.5.” Note, though, that the factory is open for everyone. With Gigafactory likely becoming one of the most visited places in the update, it is best for players to expect some action while building their cars.
“PUBG Mobile 1.5” patch notes confirm that the in-game Tesla Model Y is equipped with an autopilot mode. Players can then mark their destination on the map, and their newly assembled Tesla vehicle will drive itself there. Tesla Semi trucks will also spawn carrying battle supplies. Upon spotting a Semi, players will have to deal damage to the vehicle for Supply Crates to drop.
