“Power” season 6 is definitely happening and it will continue from the cliffhanger conclusion in the fifth season’s finale that aired just last Sept. 9. Fans were asking what will happen to Lela Loren’s character, Angela. Will she die?
The good news is that even if “Power” season 6 is not yet around, fans will be happy to know that their question has been answered already. Joseph Sikora, who plays Tommy Egan, revealed that Angela is alive and will not die. Tommy was the one who fired the bullet straight to her heart, so the actor who plays the character knows the answer best.
The week after season 5’s finale, the cast members reunited and Sikora posted a photo of their reunion on Instagram. He captioned the snap with “This is what it sounds like...when doves cry #powertv #season6 #angelaaintdead.”
Prior to this confirmation, show creator Courtney Kemp, clarified what happened in “Power” season 5 episode 10's cliffhanger. On Twitter, she posted a note that states: “Angela is not dead” and added the hashtags #PowerTV and #Season6.
This simple post cleared up the eventful scene where Tommy Egan shot Angela Valdes. It appears that the bullet was meant for James "Ghost" St. Patrick (Omari Hardwick) but since she saw Tommy and realized what was happening, she used her body to shield Ghost from the attack.
Meanwhile, although Starz Network ordered new episodes for “Power” season 6, it did not reveal the show’s exact premiere date. However, based on the short video that the network released last week, the new installment is set to arrive in 2019.
Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, who serves as the series’s executive producer, had his character die in season 5’s episode 8. But he will still be on the set since he will be directing “Power” season 6’s pilot episode.
