“Rick and Morty” season 4 is one of the most awaited adult animated science fiction series and it has been over a year since fans saw season 3’s finale. Many already expressed their frustrations because not only that the sitcom is delayed but Adult Swim was unable to give updates as well.
While “Rick and Morty” season 4 has been officially confirmed, the series creators, Dan Harmon, and Justin Roiland, failed to share “real” details about the show. To be more specific, fans would like to know when it is coming but they are not getting any answer for this. Instead, Adult Swim or the sitcom’s creators tried to keep the fans’ interests by releasing teasers or some photos of the production team at work.
Recently, Adult Swim unveiled its latest video teaser for “Rick and Morty” season 4 via its social media account. Despite this update, many fans are still upset because the clip does not include a date while others think that this is just another video that will not really be part of the fourth installment.
At any rate, the video also sparked speculations that it can be a sign that Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland had completed “Rick and Morty” season 4 and its release could come anytime soon. This only made fans even more impatient and they demanded more info about the next sequel.
The teaser was around 15 seconds long and it featured Rick and Morty transforming into various forms like wild animals, sea creatures and even Godzilla. At the end of the clip, it showed the main characters as planets and the blackhole Rick appears to be sucking up Morty.
Fans could not really interpret what these scenes mean but they still retweeted and liked the post anyway. Likewise, the video also gathered hundreds of comments that mostly ask for the specific “Rick and Morty” season 4 air date and plot but so far, there is no response from Adult Swim.

Finally, could the teaser really be an indication of surprise release like what they did in season 3? Well, probably not because one of “Rick and Morty” season 4 writers, Ryan Ridley, disclosed in an interview with The Detroit Cast that it will take a while before they can finish everything.
"I know how long this show takes to write, let alone animate," he explained. "I'd be surprised if there was a fourth season on the air anytime sooner than 2019 or late 2019.”
