“Rick and Morty” season 4 is overdue and there is no question about it. The last episode of season 3 aired in October 2017 and this translates to more than a year of break. While it was recently confirmed by the show’s animator that they are back to work, the production team has not released any other major update like how far their progress is or what the fourth season is about.
The most recent info that the showrunner revealed about “Rick and Morty” season 4 is that it will be offering an episode showcasing the return of the Interdimensional Cable. This was revealed when on Feb. 9, Justin Roiland, updated his Instagram with a photo of the voice actors or staff who appear to be recording in a studio.
Justin Roiland simply captioned the snap with “Idc3 (maybe)” and this is enough of a clue to suggest that “Rick and Morty” will have the Interdimensional Cable back for the third time. It was first introduced in the show in season 1 where Rick and Morty were shown watching cable from different dimensions using special goggles. It returned in season 2 in the episode called “Interdimensional Cable 2: Tempting Fate” but it was nowhere to be found in the third installment.
As for info about “Rick and Morty” season 4’s premiere, there is no news about this yet but it was already confirmed that it would be moving to Channel 4 for viewers in the U.K. Co-creator Dan Harmon seems to express frustration about the delay of the next episodes after greeting Justin Roiland with his own song for the birthday boy.
Harmon captioned the video with “Happy Birthday Justin I made this in the car before work (and then mixed it in the parking lot for a pretty long time) I love you buddy thanks for being born.” At the end of Harmon’s self-composed birthday song, he teased his partner by saying, “Where the f*** is season 4!”
Finally, fans also echo what Harmon has in his thoughts, everyone also wants to know “Where is ‘Rick and Morty’ season 4?”
