Fans of the show are eagerly awaiting the return of “Rick and Morty” Season 4 and are desperate for any scrap of information with regards to the show. Among the biggest questions that fans have had for a while is why the show doesn’t come with more episodes per season. There is also the matter of when the new season is going to air, with fans simply bursting to finally scratch that itch.
“Rick and Morty” Season 4 is set to be only 10 episodes long, much like the previous seasons, and all of the seasons after that are expected to have the same number of episodes. As for why the creators don’t simply create more segments per season, Otaku Art cites the previous comments of co-creator Dan Harmon.
“I would like to think I’ve learned enough from my mistakes in season three that we could definitely do 14 now, but then I have to say, ‘Yeah but you’re the guy who says we can do 14 who turned out to be wrong, so we’re not listening to you now’,” Harmon noted.
“The nice healthy way to approach this is I want to prove it with the first 10 of season four – prove it to ourselves, to production, to the network – that it’s so easy that we’ll earn additional episodes.”
As for when “Rick and Morty” Season 4 is going to premiere, there is no date set for this particular subject. The creators of the show are famous for being quite the pranksters in this regard, so fans really cannot expect much in terms of official announcements.
Then again, it was mentioned that a potential 2019 airing of “Rick and Morty” Season 4 would be likely. Late 2019, that is, which is not as long of a wait as a lot of fans might have feared.
