VANCOUVER, Wash., March 07, 2018 -- Riverview Bancorp, Inc. (NASDAQ GSM:RVSB), the holding company for Riverview Community Bank (the “Bank”), today announced the promotion of Steven Plambeck to executive vice president and chief lending officer. In his new capacity, Plambeck will oversee the management and development of the commercial banking teams and all related lending products. Plambeck succeeds Richard Michalek who retired in January.
“Steve has an extensive background in community bank management and has been instrumental in expanding our presence in the Portland market. We’re looking forward to the energy and insights he will bring to our executive team,” said Pat Sheaffer, chairman, chief executive officer and president.
Mr. Plambeck has been Senior Vice President and Commercial Team Leader for the Oregon market since April 2016. Previously, he served as Medical Banking Director for the Bank since 2011. Plambeck has over 30 years of banking experience, including serving as Director of Corporate Banking at Sterling Savings Bank and Senior Relationship Manager at U.S. Bank.
He currently serves as a Board Member for the Providence St. Vincent Medical Foundation, Providence St. Vincent Heart and Vascular Institute and the Providence St. Vincent Brain Institute. Plambeck also served as Past Chair and Board Member for Junior Achievement. A University of Wyoming alumnus, Plambeck is also a graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School and the National Commercial Lending School.
