Zombies and undead, in general, have become so commonplace in society due to pop culture that people have forgotten just how much of a mythical existence they are. “Santa Clarita Diet” Season 3 might do something to highlight an aspect of the condition that has gone on too long being overlooked. Basically, Sheila (Drew Barrymore) might achieve godhood and gain her own religion.
For some context, zombies are essentially creatures that defied death and are able to grant the same condition to other people. When “Santa Clarita Diet” Season 3 begins, Sheila and her husband, Joel (Timothy Olyphant) will be faced with the consequences of such an arrangement, OtakuKart reports. This is due to an overly religious cop, some committed zombie hunters, and a talking severed head.
Thanks to some rather crazy series of coincidences, Sheila is now regarded by the police officer as someone who might have actually been sent by God. If “Santa Clarita Diet” Season 3 takes the same weird turns that the previous seasons did, word could spread about her situation. From there, she might gain followers who will believe that she is someone sacred.
Of course, this is all just speculation. It’s just as likely that “Santa Clarita Diet” Season 3 will see the family on the run after blowing up private property and Sheila’s killing-spree. Either way, it’s going to be a fun ride and Netflix definitely made the right move in renewing the show for a third season.
As to when fans can expect “Santa Clarita Diet” Season 3 to arrive, the earliest predictions put it later this year. If so, viewers might get even more of the horror/family comedy awesomeness that they got from the previous seasons. It would certainly make the holidays more interesting and would give fans an excuse to stay in their rooms to watch.
